About the Principal

Judith Gabeau Rousset, managing and principal partner of The Gabeau Group, Ltd., is both an experienced attorney and a fully qualified Certified Public Accountant. Her counsel and representation focus on resolving the legal, accounting, and tax problems of small and medium-sized businesses, and high net worth individuals. Ms. Rousset provides customized legal, tax and accounting services to physicians and other medical professionals, sole practitioners in a variety of service industries, and numerous corporations and partnerships.
Ms. Rousset is fluent in French and, given her early study of psychology, brings an understanding of human nature and cooperative problem solving in all manner of business situations and conflicts.

Ms. Rousset has nearly ten years experience working as an accountant and attorney at a number of corporate, accounting and legal entities. The variety of matters and transactions in which she has been involved has created the foundation for her broad and deep understanding of her client’s diverse goals, issues, problems and opportunities.
Her previous employments experience with Mayer Brown, Grant Thornton, Illinois Tool Works includes handling tax planning and advising on tax consequences of mergers and acquisitions for various companies. Her duties also include ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state tax laws for partnerships, corporations and limited liability companies as well as performing tax research and advising corporation on income tax planning.
She also gained valuable experience preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships tax returns as well as individual and trust tax returns.
